I really really do

so, a few months ago, I was on you tube
just mucking about
and I found some static shock fan videos
namely this one
it was cute, and made me laugh, and think about one of my fav superheros shows as a kid

and then I stumbled upon some slash vids
which got my brain to thinking

and I remembered a fan fic I had started reading a LONG time ago
like, freshman year of high school
I stumbled across it somewhere online, and read a little
but I couldn't get into it, becuase the thought of richie/virgil weirded me out back then

WOW HOW IRONIC

so, after hours of searching online I FINALLY found it
and its something Im sure almost all devoted VR fans have already found, read, and reviewed
not to mention, wallowed it depression in response to the end
or lack thereof

well, I read Through a Glass, Darkly
fell under its spell
loved it, loved the pairing
and as you can see, the rest is history
I have drawn nothing bu VR for the past 2 months
not to mention I watch episodes online ALL THE TIME
and I read other fan fictions like CRAZY (something I vowed I would NEVER do)
I have even WRITTEN a few fan fictions! WHAT?
and I have joined online communities, and met new people
this fandom has defined my life (and my art) for the past months, to say the least

but I still never got over that first fan fic
and what it did to me
I had long accepted defeat though
and come to terms to the ending that would never be

I didn't want to believe it at first
I wouldn't let myself
I saw a post on the gas station, but i just waved it off it couldn't be
but then, on a whim, I checked
and she(he? I personally think its a she) is ALIVE
and UPDATED
ARE YOUR SERIOUS? I ASSUMED YOU DEAD!

don't get your hopes up though
she says shes going to allow someone else to update Dakota Noir for her
and she'll try and finish 'through a glass darkly'
but, of course, like even fandom, shes sort of lost interest after 3 years
and I don't expect new stories out of her

but still
its nice to see her back
its nice to have some hope


and this also comes at a great time
becuase, as much as I hate to say it, Im loosing steam with my VR obsession
I think its an art block
I have plenty of VR love still in my head
but my hands have just about had it
I cant draw a thing

so Im just going to color the things I have drawn already (which isnt anything to sniff at. I have 9 unfinished VR pics just LAYING around my files. srsly.)
and possibly write some more fan fiction (I have 2 in the works. ones huge. ones not so huge. I'm afriad to post a multi-chaptered fic though. what it I loose interest? what if it isn't good enough?)
but Im thinking that after x-mas, I'll be over this fandom


but hopefully, with me re-reading TaGD, I can prove myself wrong.
